Rotary Epilators

Rotary epilators are hair removal devices that are a lot like electric razors, but instead of putting a cutting blade on a rotary head, there are rows of tweezers that are able to pull out hairs by the roots. Many people prefer using rotary epilators over electric razors. Here's more information about rotary epilators and their uses.

Benefits

There are several benefits to using rotary epilators over other hair removal devices. Some advantages are that hair removal lasts for days and even weeks when you use a rotary epilator. You won't have to shave or think about hair removal at all for a while, so they're perfect for things like beach vacations. Another advantage is that it is good for the legs and the arms and very easy to use on those body parts. Also, since hair is pulled out by the root using rotary epilators, it gives the skin a much smoother and hairless appearance. Lastly, no chemicals are used when pulling hair out with rotary epilators.

Warning

As with any product, there are also some disadvantages to using rotary epilators. Rotary epilators are a lot more difficult to use on soft, fine hairs. They also can be very complicated to use for hard-to-reach parts of the body such as the backs of legs. Also, the hairs must be long enough for the tweezers to be able to grab hold of, and many people aren't willing to grow out their body hair for that long. And since the hair is being plucked, it can lead to irritations such as ingrown hairs and irritated skin.

Types

There are many types of rotary epilators available on the market these days, so people have many to choose from. Some of the most reliable, popular and easy-to-use models are Silk-Epil by Braun, Satinelle by Norelco, Ladybikini and Discrette Plus by Epilady, and Lady Care by Grundig.

Considerations

Buying a rotary epilator is more expensive than buying a bag of disposable razors, but it is an investment that should last you a much longer time. For a quality rotary epilator, expect to pay within the range of $40 to $100, depending on the brand and model.
