Locating your missing Metro cell phone can take several different tries.
If you've ever owned a MetroPCS cellphone you've inevitably had that moment when you realize that your phone is missing. Sometimes it's just a matter of looking everywhere in your house and car until you find it. However, sometimes your phone has gone further afield, or it might even be stolen. In those cases you will need to employ some more stringent methods to locate your missing cellphone.
Instructions
1. Call your phone. You can use someone else's cellphone to call your number or you can use web sites like Wheres My Cellphone to call your phone. If your phone is ringing then it becomes a lot easier for you to find where your missing phone is.
2. Contact Metro and inform a customer service representative that your phone is missing Metro can only track your phone if you have a pre-paid tracking service and a GPS cell phone. If you don't have either of these then Metro can discontinue your service and you can get a new cellphone, making your old cellphone useless.
3. Contact the police and inform them that your cellphone is missing. Provide the police with the information about your phone, your number and your personal information so that if your phone is found the police know that it's your phone and that it's stolen.

Install a GPS tracking program on your phone. These programs can be found at websites like Find Lost Phone, which has the Trace My Mobi program. This program, installed on a GPS capable cellphone, will make your cellphone trackable in the event that your phone is lost. You need to have a phone with an active GPS chip though, and one with enough of a data plan to send information out. In the event that your cellphone goes missing just access the home page for your GPS tracking program, log in and request the current location of your cellphone. This only works if you do it before your phone goes missing though.
