Anyone interested in attending law school must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT.) How you score on the LSAT impacts your selection of law schools and your future earning potential as an attorney. Here are some guidelines to help you survive the LSATs.

1. Attend one of the many preparatory classes offered online or in a classroom setting to help you survive the LSAT. These courses will expose you to the various concepts found on the LSAT.
2. Search the Internet for local preparatory courses and study guides, especially those that include sample LSATs.
3. Brush up on the rules of logical reasoning and common logical fallacies to get ready for the logical reasoning portion of the test.
4. Learn read actively and extrapolate the essential points to survive the LSAT's reading comprehension segment. You will be successful by using only the information that is given.
5. Complete the analytical reasoning portion by reading and grasping the conditions that mark the relationships in the "game" or question. One way to do this is by illustrating relationships via a diagram.
6. Organize your ideas in an outline prior to beginning your writing sample. This will give your essay clarity and help you determine if you have adequate information to support your position.
7. Concentrate on answering every test question since your score includes only on correct answers. Incorrect responses don't affect your score.
8. Avoid using your own knowledge and experience when answering test questions. Instead, surviving the LSAT calls for using the information provided within the questions.
9. Focus more on why answers are incorrect rather than correct. Eliminate as many choices as possible to increase your chances of selecting the correct answer.
10. Practice taking previous LSATs. Taking the entire test (rather than individual sections) as if it was the real thing will help you survive the LSAT.
11. Stay calm and relaxed on test day. This is paramount to surviving the LSAT.
