Study Abroad Programs In Italy

Study in Italy

Italy is the birthplace of the Renaissance and known for its art, history, design, and cuisine. For high school or college students who want to live and learn in Italy, the choices for study abroad programs abound. Students will have the opportunity to visit such awe-inspiring attractions as the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Ponte Vecchio and the Leaning Tower of Pisa while learning about such diverse subjects as business, art history and the Italian language. Some Italian study abroad programs have scholarship opportunities for students with high academic achievement. Most programs are available for fall, spring and summer sessions

Georgia State University

In the study abroad program from Georgia State University, students have a week of classroom instruction at the university, then they visit Italian firms doing business in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Students then leave for Italy for two weeks, studying the business and corporate strategies of Italian firms on site. The focus is on the unique characteristics of each company. The goal of the program is to examine challenges in today's European market; understand strategic issues faced by Italian firms that deal with the European Union and the United States; explain challenges from a cultural perspective; and modify behavior to apply lessons learned to the student's own organization.
