High school transcripts are an important document, and misplacing your transcript can be frustrating. If you attended high school in Maryland, you may need a copy of your transcript for various reasons. Whether you're transferring schools, applying for college, filling out applications for scholarships or student loans, the state of Maryland makes it easy to obtain a copy of your records. Some schools may charge a fee for the copy of your transcript, and individual fees vary by school.
Instructions
1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer and go to "marylandpublicschools.org/MSDE/schoolsystems".
2. Click the name of the school system that corresponds with the school you attended. From the school district page, locate and click on the "Schools" link, and then choose "High School".
3. Click the name of the school you attended to see contact information for your school.
4. Call your former high school and ask to be transferred to the student records department. Request a copy of your transcript. The student records department for your school will provide you with information about fees, if applicable.
