Remove Body Oils From Sheets
While not a problem for all, there are some who battle with this daily: body oil stains on sheets. These stains are beyond stubborn and difficult to remove. For those who deal with this frustrating problem, it's already apparent that these stains don't simply wash out when doing the laundry. So special care needs to be taken. Removing these stains is easy with the right know-how and materials.
Instructions
1. Pre-treat the stains with hair shampoo. Allow the shampoo to sit on the stained area for 10 to 15 minutes before laundering as usual.
2. Wash the linen in the washing machine with hair shampoo instead of detergent. Add a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle.
3. Dampen the area with clean water and apply Dawn dish soap liberally to the stained area. Scrub the dish soap into the stain with a toothbrush and launder as usual.
4. Add a cup of ammonia to the washing machine along with the regular detergent and wash and dry as usual.
5. Start the washing machine and add a cup of baking soda in with the regular detergent. When the drum is filled with water, turn the machine off and allow the linen to soak for an hour before turning it back on and finishing the cycle.
Tips Warnings
Without attempting to treat the stain before laundering, it may set in making it harder to remove later.
