College Scholarships for Italian American Students
Italian American students have a variety of scholarship options available to help pay for college expenses. Scholarships are available to high school and college students who are of Italian descent and demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. These scholarships alleviate some of the burden of paying for college and honor the heritage of the recipients.
National Italian American Foundation Scholarships
The National Italian American Foundation provides scholarships to Italian American undergraduates and to college students majoring in Italian Studies or a related field. Scholarship awards range from $2,000 to $12,000 and applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA to be considered. The program is highly competitive and only a small number of need-based awards are granted. Applications may only be submitted online.

Order Sons of Italy in America
The Order Sons of Italy in America offers numerous merit-based scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students of Italian American descent. Awards range from $5,000 to $25,000 and previous winners may not reapply. Scholarships are offered for general studies, as well as specialized studies and study abroad programs.

Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarships
The Columbus Citizens Foundation provides scholarships for students of Italian American descent whose household income is no more than $25,000. The program is open only to high school seniors who are planning to enroll at an accredited college or university and are residents of any of the following states: NY, NJ, DE, DC, MD, PA, VT, RI, ME, MA, NH, CT. The amount of the scholarship award varies.

Justinian Foundation Scholarships
The Justinian Foundation offers $1,500 scholarships to third-year Italian American law students in the Philadelphia area. To qualify, applicants must be student members of their local Justinian Society Law School Chapter and have a demonstrated financial need.

Robert L. Facker Memorial Scholarship
The Robert L. Facker Memorial Scholarship is administered by the Italian-American Society of Peoria and is open to children or grandchildren of Society members. Scholarship awards may be used at the college of the recipient's choice and the amount varies based on the availability of funds.

Italian Catholic Federation Scholarships
The Italian Catholic Federation offers scholarships to students of Italian American descent in California, Arizona, Nevada and Illinois. To be eligible, students must be of Italian heritage and Catholic faith and have a demonstrated financial need. Awards range from $400 to $1,000 and first-year winners are encouraged to reapply for subsequent years.
