Trying to join a sorority is one of the most nerve-racking and exciting situations a college woman will ever undergo while still in school. A lot of chapters require those rushing for membership to write a sorority interest letter. This is a lot like a cover letter for a job or internship, but more of your sparkle and personality should shine through. After all, if you are looking for boredom, you probably would not be writing a sorority interest letter.
Instructions
1. Write down some of your personal and academic accomplishments as you get ready to prepare a sorority interest letter. Keep in mind that most college chapters require a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for all members, so if you have a really good one do not be afraid to play it up. After all, modern Greek women are into smarts and having fun.
2. If you have family members who were in the sorority, even if it was at a different college, be sure to mention that in your sorority interest letter. Legacies are important to most college chapters, because it brings bloodlines into the sisterhood!
3. Tell the women reading more about you as a person in a sorority interest letter. Mention your hobbies, favorite bands, courses you really like, and what you hope to do in the future. Be sure to add you hope membership in the sorority will help you become a stronger women personally and professionally.
