Carpet with pad already attached

Carpet with pad already attached??

Anyone ever used the carpet with pad attached. I need a really cheap carpet to replace the carpet in a rental I'll live in only a couple of years. Menards has cheap (.88 sq. ft) carpet with attached pad. They say I can install it myself because it only requires being TAPED down. Sounds like a deal for a cheap, quick fix. Any feedback on the product? Thanks. Double sided tape is only a temporary installation. Might last a few months at the seams and maybe longer if there is no traffic. I would perimeter glue it with muti-purpose flooring glue, and a 1/8X1/8X1/8 trile. Besure to use seam sealer on the seams regardless.
