They are also both commonly used in pesticides. While these chemicals are known as immunotoxicants, neurotoxicants, respiratory toxicants, and skin and sense organ toxicants, these chemicals make up less than 1 percent of the ingredients in Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
Disodium EDTA
Disodium EDTA is a viscosity-controlling chelting agent. It helps bind impurities on surfaces and in water to the cleaner's free agent. There have been some studies to suggest slight adverse effects when a high percentage of disodium EDTA comes in contact with the skin or is ingested orally, but the agent makes up less than 1 percent of the ingredients in Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
