Scholarships For Usa Universities

There are scholarships available for almost every college pursuit, including philosophy.

Paying for college can be a daunting task. Many students never apply for colleges they assume are outside of their family or personal budgets. There is an abundance of scholarship opportunities if you make a diligent, persistent and determined effort to apply for as many as you can each year of your school career. Many schools in the U.S. offer scholarships based on qualifications ranging from ethnicity to professional association memberships to physical disabilities.

University of Minnesota Scholarships

The University of Minnesota offers 60 scholarships for new freshmen each year.

The University of Minnesota offers 60 academic scholarships for admitted freshmen who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents in addition to an extensive list of college-based scholarships within the university system. The awards range from $1,000 for a single year to $48,000 for all four years of schooling. All freshmen are considered for the scholarships. Thirty-seven of the scholarships are merit-based, and the other 23 are based on financial need. The scholarships are highly competitive, and priority is given to students who complete their admissions applications before December 15, so apply early. International students are not eligible for University of Minnesota scholarships and are encouraged to seek private opportunities.
