Operations Management


An operations manager is responsible for directing and organizing a company or organization. The operations manager determines polices, organizes and controls inventory, and often creates the employee schedule. An operations manager is also responsible for overseeing the facilities of the companies. Those interested in operations management must display leadership abilities, have strong problem solving skills, and communicate well with others. Entry-level positions in operations management include operations manager, operations consultant, manager of business process improvement and project manager.


Retail Management


Retail management focuses on the running of a retail store. A retail manager is responsible for supervising and working with the sales team. Human resource managers are responsible for the hiring, job evaluations, salary, benefits, and other administrative functions of an organization. Skills in communication, computer systems, and knowledge of business is crucial for a human resource manager. Having a degree in business administration gives an edge to potential human resource managers as they are knowledgeable about the world of business.
