Your SAT scores help colleges determine whether to accept you.
Nearly all high school students seeking higher education will take the SAT. The score you get on the SAT, in addition to your high school grades, often determine what colleges you are able to get into. Scheduling a test date that gives you enough time to prepare is wise. Knowing reschedule your SAT is important if you need more time to study or if an unforeseen incident or obligation arises.
Instructions
1. Open your Web browser and log onto collegeboard.com. College Board is the organization that issues the SAT.
2. Click on the "SAT" tab located on the top left side of the homepage.
3. Scroll down and click on the link, "Making Changes: change your test type, site or date>" under the "Register" section.
4. Click on the blue text "Contact us by phone" and call the number listed on the next page. You should reschedule your test no later than the Wednesday two to three weeks before your test date. A fee will be charged for rescheduling, which can be paid over the phone using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards.
