The Best Colleges For Law

Top-rated law school educations lead to top-paying positions.

Finding the right law school can be an overwhelming task. Most of the top-rated law programs are highly selective and require a substantial investment. The time spent getting accepted and the amount of the investment are, however, minimal compared to the payoff that comes later when competing for a legal position in the job market. The best law colleges have substantial reputations that carry a tremendous amount of weight. These reputations can make all the difference in landing the right high-paying and prominent position.

Boston College

Boston College (BC) is the home of one of the top law schools in the nation. U.S. News and World Report ranked laws schools according a number of different criteria, including selectivity, LSAT scores and surveys submitted by lawyers, professors and school deans. Founded in 1929, BC enrolls approximately 800 law students per year and has a student-to-faculty ratio of 13.5 to 1. BC offers a full-time J.D. program; it also offers a number of joint-degree programs in conjunction with the J.D. Joint-degrees include the J.D/M.B.A. (master of business administration combination, J.D./M.S.W. (master of social work) and the J.D./M.Ed. or M.A. (master of education or master of Arts). A Ph.D. is also possible through the college.
