Summer Fashion Camps In New York

Fashion model

New York is regarded as one of the major players within the fashion industry. With names such as Diane von Furstenburg and Tim Gunn being based out of New York, the idea of having a peek into the world of fashion at a New York fashion summer camp appeals to many teens. Summer fashion camps give teens a way to do what they enjoy and make contacts within New York's fashion scene.

Fashion Camp NYC

Located in Manhattan's LIM College for the Business of Fashion, Fashion Camp NYC exposes teens to the fashion industry and gives them a hands-on experience with designing. Campers will get the chance to visit fashion showrooms throughout Manhattan, go to key fashion boutiques, and network with industry players from companies such as Coach and American Eagle. Activities during the camp include design conception, working with color palettes, and a meet and greet breakfast with fashion industry workers. Fashion Camp NYC accepts teens entering 8th through 12th grade into the camp during any of the three five-day-long sessions. Campers can choose to attend only one session, or go to all three. 2010 tuition per session is $1295. This price includes all lectures and seminars given at the camp, as well as materials for projects, snacks, and field trip transportation. Space is limited to 75 campers per session, so signing up early is encouraged.
