Produce Lithium Grease

Lithium Grease is used on windows and sliding doors.


Lithium grease is substance that is used to reduce the friction between moving parts. Lithium grease is often used on metal and nonmetal surfaces including rubber, wood and vinyl. It helps prevent rust and corrosion and dries quickly. Lithium grease is commonly used for lubricating parts in automobiles, sliding doors, windows, hinges and more.


Instructions


1. Collect all your ingredients together, including safety gloves and goggles.








2. Make a lithium soap by combining one part fatty acid and one part diacid.


3. Add the combination directly to lubricating oil to create the lithium grease.








4. Heat the substance in a lab burner to help strengthen the formation of the oil.


5. Remove it from the heat, pour the substance into a heat flask and heat it on a burner to a temperature between 190 and 220 degrees Celsius.


6. Remove it from the heat and let it cool to produce lithium grease.
