American Art Colleges

Painting is a traditional studio art.

Art colleges are found throughout the United States. American art colleges offer programs of study in both the traditional studio arts and in cutting-edge digital art and new media. Students work towards Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees in these disciplines, developing their artistic vision while honing technical skills. Some art colleges also offer an art education track, preparing individuals for a career in teaching.
