There are several colleges and universities in Colorado that offer continuing education and professional development courses to residents. University of Colorado


The University of Colorado offers a wide variety of continuing education options at its campuses in Boulder and Denver. Students can choose from several graduate degree programs, as well as certificate programs in education and health care. Colorado State University








Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, to the north of Denver. The university operates online and distance learning programs, along with continuing education coursework on campus. They offer a number of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as certificates, workshops and online training in veterinary medicine. The university offers classes in Denver, Brighton, Loveland and Colorado Springs, in addition to their Fort Collins campus.

Community College of Denver


The Community College of Denver offers open admissions for students seeking coursework in health care and technical education, as well as classes in more traditional academic areas. They also have special development programs for those over 50 and a large number of courses in energy sustainability. CCD maintains three campuses in the Denver area and a number of online classes.

Comunity College of Aurora


The Community College of Aurora was founded in 1983 and has an open admissions policy. CCA offers more than 40 degrees and certificates in diverse academic and professional disciplines. In addition to more traditional coursework, CCA also offers eXpress Ed in a select number of programs, which allows students to quickly complete certificate training. There are campuses in both Aurora and Denver for students to choose from, and a limited number of classes are available online.
