Texas Tech University College offers a graduate certificate program in horticultural landscape management online. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and submit a statement of interest. Coursework includes arboriculture, weed science, pesticides, herbicides, nursery management, plant nutrients, soil science and the administration of landscape architecture. A Bachelor of Science in Horticultural and Turfgrass Sciences and a Master of Science in Horticulture are also offered online.

Penn Foster Career School


Penn Foster Career School offers a diploma program in landscaping through online, self-paced home study. Coursework includes plant biology and health, soil science, fertilizers and pest management, tools and equipment, horticulture, and landscape design. This program may be completed within six months of part-time study. Penn Foster Career School is licensed by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) and licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

North Carolina State University
