4. Practice often. Your classes provide ample opportunity for projects and assignments. However, you will learn a lot more if you take it upon yourself to create extracurricular projects. Once you have the basics of CAD drawing down draw your own projects often. Your projects can be more intricate geometric designs or you can draw more realistic projects such as floor plans or basic machine parts.


5. Use online tutorials. Many video sharing sites have tutorials for CAD users. There are also websites such as LearnCADFast.com that are dedicated to nothing but CAD tutorials. Whether you're in structured formal study or learning on your own, these resources can be invaluable.








6. Consult established professionals. Many forums exist for both established professionals and beginners to get advice on CAD drawing. The most popular of these is CADTutor.net. Whether you're having trouble on a school assignment or struggling to understand the application of a specific CAD operation, these forums are a great resource for those studying CAD drawing.
