Harvard Medical School


The exceptional Harvard School of Medicine is located in Boston, Massachusetts; it offers a Medical Doctor (MD) Degree. This is program is ideal for applicants who possess a strong background in physical or biological sciences and who would like to pursue a career in biomedical research. According to the Harvard School of Medicine, the Harvard-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Division of Health Sciences and Technology MD program focuses on "molecular biology, biotechnology, engineering, and physical sciences." Students are provided with mentorship training, and instruction with a strong emphasis in research. Students are afforded the opportunity to learn at the various Harvard affiliated hospitals. The elite Yale University School of Medicine is located in New Haven, Connecticut; it offers a joint accredited MD/Ph.D. degree. Applicants who are selected are highly intelligent and possess a strong background and experience in research. Princeton University


Princeton University, one of the nation's most prestigious universities, is located in New Jersey. Princeton University's department of molecular biology has joined Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers University to offer a MD/Ph.D. joint degree for applicants who wish to pursue a career in biomedical sciences. Medical students are evaluated on their progress and guided by an advisory committee. Students who gain two years of pre-clinical training will obtain an MD degree from RWJMS. The medical students can then begin research on their thesis. Upon completion of the program, students receive a Ph.D. from Princeton University. Once the medical students complete the Ph.D. program, they continue two years of medical training in clinical rotation.

Columbia University


Columbia University has a stellar reputation and is located in New York City.
