Free Bible Correspondence Colleges

Online Bible colleges sometimes offer courses free of charge.

According to the Church of Christ Network, the Bible can be read in about 70 hours. Few people, however, are able to read it in its entirety and understand it fully. Learning to more fully understand the Bible does not necessarily require you to pay tuition at a college. Some Bible colleges offer courses on various aspects of the Bible free of charge to anyone. These courses can typically be taken online on your own time.

Ames International School of Ministry

The Ames International School of Ministry offers a free Bible course with a printable certificate available upon completion of the course. The course includes a total of 22 different classes to complete whenever you have some free time to work on it. There is no limit on how long you can take to complete the program. All of the necessary materials are downloaded from the website for free. A message board allows you to connect with other students who are taking or have taken the course. Further training is available for a fee if you wish to learn more.

Trinity

Offering free correspondence courses and other resources, Trinity allows students to study areas of theology and the Bible at their own pace. However, students must apply to be accepted to the program. The courses are free, but students from developed countries are required to pay a registration fee. Students from poorer countries do not need to pay this fee. The Trinity Bible correspondence college offers numerous books as free downloads to its students, including books on baptism and the doctrine of the Trinity. New books are added regularly. Over 100 CDs are available for students to download free of charge as well.

Trinity College of Biblical Studies

Offering a bachelor in Biblical studies, Trinity College of Biblical Studies offers an entire degree program free of charge to its students. The college also offers a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and archaeological trips for a fee. Students sign up for the courses online and receive all of the materials that they need to complete the course through the Internet, on CD or through the mail. Classes cover many of the areas of the Bible in depth, including general surveys of the Old and New Testaments, the life of Christ and women of the Bible.

World Bible School

Serving students around the world since the 1950s, the World Bible School strives to spread God's Word around the world and help students better understand its principles. Course material is sent anywhere in the world free of charge to the recipient. The courses were created by United States soldiers who served overseas and found themselves separated from their congregations. The courses cover many of the fundamentals of the Bible, including detailed information on Jesus, the message of the Gospel and living a Christian life. The courses include quotes from the Bible and illustrations to ensure understanding.
