The Best Fashion Merchandising Universities In The Nation

Fashion merchandisers find the hottest dress of the season.

Fashion merchandisers study the hottest styles, trends and fabrics and ensure stores are filled with the clothes and accessories men and women want to buy. Fashion merchandising mixes the demanding and creative, the tricky and the popular side of fashion in a fast-paced environment. Top fashion merchandising schools in the U.S. focus on hands-on training, expert instruction, and developing an intensely creative and objective eye.

Ashland University

Between Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio, Ashland University nurtures majors in fashion merchandising. Students are introduced to rewarding careers in fashion buying, selling, visual merchandising and retail management with expert staff instruction. The curriculum includes fashion analysis, textiles and fashion evolution, marketing business courses, retail merchandising, and advertising. Students learn by doing, creating fashion shows and joining service learning projects. Most fashion merchandising classes include less than 20 students. Ashland professors work one-on-one with students, so they become familiar with a student's passions and career goals.
