Help Low Achievers

All children have the potential to succeed.

With state-of-the-art teachers, books, computers and modernized schools, there is no reason that a student should not perform well. Consequently, when there is a low ebb in a child's comprehension, it can be caused by underlying issues; thus, academic growth is compromised. Children whose work suffers are sometimes called low achievers. However, there are ways to help students who are not performing well.

Instructions

Children will learn if placed in a loving environment

1. Eating a balanced breakfast is important in a child's life.

Start the morning with a good breakfast. If breakfast isn't provided at home, many schools provide a breakfast program. A balanced meal in the morning emits energy, and it helps the child think clearly and perform well.

2. Reading is power

Read for enlightenment. Reading helps the low achiever retain an intellectual sense.

3. Sometimes young minds have concens that are not productive

Create group projects and special assignments to alleviate boredom. Coach the student for intellectual awareness. Monitor any unusual habits.

4. Computers are excellent sources of learning tools

Monitor extensive use of the computer. Computer games discourage young people from communicating. Dialogue is important for success.

5. Listen carefully to what your child has to say.

Pay attention to the student. Involve the school guidance counselor for special needs. Reinforce concentration and commitment.
