USPS delivery confirmation helps customers keep track of their packages and prove when and where they were delivered. Delivery confirmation is especially useful for business owners who regularly ship expensive merchandise. Use USPS delivery confirmation to track your packages and keep records of their delivery.
Instructions
1. Take your package to the post office and pay for its postage. Package types eligible for delivery confirmation are first-class packages, priority mail, library mail, bound printed matter and parcel post.
2. Confirm that your package meets the delivery confirmation requirements. Your package must be a hard box or have a thickness of at least 3/4 inch.
3. Talk to the post office clerk and request delivery confirmation. Fill out the PS form 152 the post office clerk gives you.
4. Receive a receipt of delivery confirmation.
5. Log on to USPS.com to begin tracking your package. Click "Track and Confirm" and enter the number on your label or receipt into the form box.
6. Press "Go" to see the delivery status of your package. While delivery confirmation services may not indicate where your package is while en route, it will confirm the date and time of delivery.
