Interior designers do more than just decorate room spaces.
Interior designers are called upon to create functional, safe and aesthetically pleasing spaces in virtually any setting including homes, offices, stores and public buildings. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects employment of interior designers to increase by 19 percent through 2018. For students in and around New York State, most interior design colleges can be found in the New York City area, which is known as the hub of fashion and style.
