Picking a dorm at a collegiate campus is no easy task. Determining the best dorms based on age, size and style of living is even more difficult if you are a new student or one that doesn't know much about on-campus living. This article serves the purpose of taking the guesswork out of picking a dorm at Western Michigan University.
Instructions
1. Check out Britton/Hadley Hall if you want to live in the "Valley" area of campus. This dormitory is primarily for first-year students at Western Michigan University. Britton/Hadley Hall is co-educational and features suite-style living for students, which means that residents share a room with one other person and a bathroom with two other "suite mates." This dormitory is all about location as it is the one dorm in this area that is closest to the main campus. Britton/Hadley Hall features the on-campus coffee house, which is an added perk.
2. Look into Henry Hall on the main campus. This dormitory is defined by the fact that it is one of the only ones on campus that does not require residents to purchase a meal plan. Henry Hall features a top-notch kitchen for those students that wish to not purchase the campus meal plan. This dormitory is co-educational in nature and features double rooms that house two students. Residents then share a community bathroom with the rest of their floor.
3. Consider the Burnhams on the main campus for extra diversity in your living situation. In addition to housing students from freshmen to senior years, this dormitory also houses the student-athletes on campus and many residents find that quite interesting. This dormitory features some of the largest rooms on campus, which is its top draw. The Burnhams are co-educational and the rooms are inhabited by two students.
