Chapman University College of the Performing Arts
Chapman University features a College of the Performing Arts, an independent school in Orange, Southern California. The College of the Performing Arts consists of a music conservatory, theater department, dance department and production management division. The various majors include bachelor of arts and fine arts in dance performance, dance, vocal performance, music, theater, composition, conducting and keyboard collaborative arts.
The Juilliard School
The Juilliard School is a conservatory for the performing arts located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York. The Juilliard School was founded in 1905 and specializes in music, drama and dance. The school was initially known as the Institute of Musical Art. The degree programs include such subjects as jazz studies, guitar, playwriting, acting and dance.
University of the Arts College of Performing Arts
The University of the Arts, home to the College of Performing Arts, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was established in 1985. The College of Performing Arts aims to prepare students for careers as choreographers, dancers, singers, directors, actors and theater designers. The college is composed of three separate divisions: theater arts, music and drama. There is also a strong emphasis on the liberal arts.
Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts
Syracuse University in upstate Syracuse, New York, has a visual and performing arts college that offers majors in music education, composition, conducting, stage management, drama and theater design. Both undergraduate and graduate studies are available.
