1. First you have to go to your local DMV or One stop career center and inquire about the tuition waiver program.
2. Next you have to attend a training or orientation session at the One stop center and then register at the one stop center during the orientation.
3. At the orientation, you will learn about all the programs they have for the unemployed including the tuition waiver program. Collect information for the tuition waiver.
4. Depending on where you live, you may have to make an appointment to go and see the tuition waiver coordinator. The person will ask you to bring in certain documents and let you know what the eligibility requirements are.If you qualify, move on to the next step.
5. After you learn what you need to do to get the tuition waiver, get to work and gather all the necessary documents and go back to see the tuition waiver coordinator.He or she will decide on whether you get the tuition waiver or not. Use a checklist to make sure you have gathered all the necessary documents so you are not denied or asked to return at another time.
