Access My Gre Scores

The GRE, or Graduate Record Examination, is the test taken by people who are considering enrolling in graduate school. As of August 2011, the GRE will be revised, and those scores will be available in November 2011. If you want to access and use scores before November 2011, you must take the test before the end of July. You will be able to access your scores for either test via mail, phone or the Internet. Scores of tests taken by computer at testing centers are sometimes available immediately after the tests are completed, but will not include those for the writing portions.

Instructions

1. View your scores online. Visit MyGRE.ets.org. Login or create your own account. Your scores will be available about 15 days after your test date if you took the test by computer or about six weeks after your test date if you took the test on paper.

2. Wait for the mail. ETS mails your GRE test scores to you and to the schools you designated about 15 days after your test date if you took the text on a computer. You will wait about six weeks from your text date if you took the test on paper, at which point you also will be able to confirm whether your prospective schools have received your scores.

3. Call the GRE phone service to receive your scores. You will have to pay $12 by credit or debit card, and you must call via a touch-tone phone. Call 609-771-7290 or 888-473-7267 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern time seven days a week. Have all of the necessary information at hand: registration number, Social Security number or confirmation number; test date, birthdate, institution code(s), and department code(s). Scores by phone are available about a month after your test date.
