One of the pre-licensing conditions that must be met before becoming a Bail Bond Agent in the state of Colorado is completion of a training course, accredited by the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. The course curriculum must include eight hours of Bail Bonds training and 16 hours of Bail Recovery training. The training requirements must be met prior to taking a mandatory Exam. A Certification of completion must be submitted by the course provider before applying for a Bail Bond license or with the license application. There are several state-approved Bail Bonds course providers in Colorado.
