Accessorize a summer-white outfit like a true summer fashionista. Learn tips and tricks to set you apart from the rest.
Instructions
1. Think of what look you would like to achieve. A white Bohemian inspired ensemble will have different accessory selections than an outfit of more fitted proporations.
2. Remember that a Bohemian theme includes long flowing dresses and skirts. To achieve a more slim appeal, try skinny jeans and a long tunic. Either way, get dressed in your summer-white outfit. Be sure that the only finishing touches left are to add accessories.
3. Choose the main color(s) that you would like to accompany your white outfit.
4. Start with bangles. Place a solid color bangle on your wrist. On the same wrist, place a gold accented bangle. After the second bangle, if you choose to add another, place a different solid color bangle on the same wrist.
5. Add earrings and a necklace or chain. Earrings should match the motif of the ensemble--flowing or fitted. Though chandelier earrings are not in style this season, dangling hoops with beads or trinkets, and those gold embedded designs, are still very chic to wear with a flowing dress. If you're going for the skinny jean appeal, studs or medium sized hoops are great.
6. Choose gold or vintage gold earrings and chain if your outfit is already busy. You want to accent the outfit not complicate it further.
7. Include shoes. Gladiator flat sandals look great with a flowing dress or skirt but make sure those toes are polished. Now skinny jeans look realy cute with pumps for all occasions, however, if you're going for a more casual approach, try ballet flats or chic flip flops.
8. Choosing a handbag is most important. For a casual summer day, a clutch is a great small accessory. However, if you’re on a long day’s mission you may want to choose a larger handbag. Either way, your handbag should reflect your outfit choice. Your handbag should encompass all of the colors in your outfit, except white in most cases, for maximum eye appeal. Again, if your outfit is busy, try a more simple handbag.
9. Put on your favorite pair of brown or black sunglasses trimmed in gold and you’re ready to take the summer on in your white ensemble.
10. Look in the mirror and decide whether or not any of these items must be adjusted to fit your personality. Then, enjoy being a chic fashionista in your summer-white.
