Several California community colleges offer degrees entirely online.
Working adults who want to get an education may be overwhelmed at the prospect of finding time for coursework. One way to negate the possibility of a scheduling nightmare is to sign up for online courses. Many distance learning programs offer quality education and can be completed online during the hours most convenient to the student. Several California-based community colleges offer online courses that lead to accredited degrees.
Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District operates in southern California, just outside of San Diego. Students can complete online classes taught by faculty in two of the district's community colleges, Grossmont College and Cuyamaca College. Curriculum offered online is typically identical to an on-site course of the same subject, and students should anticipate devoting just as much time to an online course as they would to a traditional one.
Communication with faculty and classmates usually takes place through e-mail or Blackboard, a website designed for academic communications. Areas of study offered online include anthropology, English and business.
