An executive law degree increases business acumen.
Executive law degrees are for full-time professionals who wish to obtain a law degree or advance a legal career within a specialty area. Executives and other professionals complete their Juris Doctorate, or J.D., in a three to five-year program. Lawyers spend one year in a specialty program to achieve a Master of Laws degree, or LL.M.
An executive law degree is different than going to law school with the intention to help CEOs and executives with their employment and benefits contracts --- labor and contract law.
