The University of Cambridge, in Cambridge, England, is one of the most-respected institutions of higher education in the world, and consistently ranks near the top of the London Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Consequently, getting a place to study politics at Cambridge University is difficult. Cambridge does not, in fact, offer a straight politics course. Instead you take PPS, a combination of politics, psychology and sociology.
Instructions
1. Achieve a grade of 5 in your five Advanced Placement Tests. There are no specific subjects needed to study PPS at Cambridge, but it is important to score top marks.
2. Apply to a college within Cambridge University. Prospective students apply to colleges at Cambridge, rather than at the university as a whole, which differs from the US system, in which students apply to the university, then choose a department and major within the university after a year or two. Each college at Cambridge sets its own entry requirements.
3. Attend an interview at your chosen college at Cambridge. Some colleges require you to attend an interview. Should you be called for an interview, make sure you are abreast of current political events, both in the US and internationally.
