Students receive individualized attention with a normal 3:1 student/teacher ratio. Graduates from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine integrate a number of modalities in the therapeutic healing realm as well as having a good sense of business skills.Upon the completion of 600 hours of study the students receive a diploma and a Neuromuscular Therapy Certificate. They are also ready to sit for the National Certification Examination, in order to become nationally certified as a massage therapist.

Established in 1990, Academy Massage Therapy (AMT) is New Jersey's first massage school. It is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, making their students eligible to apply for federal financial aid programs such as the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Stafford Loans and Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students. The school is also accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation, which performs rigorous reviews of the curriculum.


Graduates of AMT are qualified to sit for the National Certification Exam and the school's program satisfies the newly enacted New Jersey state massage therapy licensing requirements. Student/Teacher ratio is kept below 12:1 and the faculty and staff at AMT are professional and supportive.

Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine

New Jersey's first acupuncture school, The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine, was founded in 1997. The school is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which sets and maintains the standard for schools of acupuncture in the United States.


Graduates from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine receive a Diploma in Acupuncture and are ready to sit for the NCCAOM national board exam. This exam is a prerequisite for receiving a state license as an acupuncturist.
