Upload An Flv File

If you have ever tried to upload an FLV file to some video sharing sites, like Dailymotion and Vimeo, you have found that you are unable to because these sites accept only other file formats such as AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV or MP4. This means that you will have convert the FLV into one of the formats supported by your target site if you want to be able to upload it. Luckily, there are many conversion programs available on the Internet free of charge.


Instructions


Freez Flv to AVI/MPEG/WMV Converter


1. Download Freez Flv to AVI/MPEG/WMV Converter from SmallVideoSoft.com and install it on your computer.


2. Open Freez Flv to AVI/MPEG/WMV Converter. Add the files that you wish to convert by clicking "Add."


3. Click "Settings" and specify either AVI, MPEG, or WMV as the output format. You can also specify the video and audio bit rates in this screen.


4. Select the output directory and then click the "Start" button on the user interface of the application to begin the conversion process. Upon completion, you will be able to upload the newly converted video file to user content sites like Dailymotion and Vimeo.

5. Download FLV to MOV Converter from flv-converter.com and install it.


6. Open FLV to MOV Converter by either clicking on the desktop icon, or by going to "Start," "All Programs," then clicking "FLV to MOV Converter" from the list of installed programs.


7. Click "Add Files" to search your hard drive for the FLV files you wish to convert.


8. Select "MOV" from the drop-down list of options in the "Profile" box. The "Profile" in FLV to MOV Converter is where you specify what the video format will be of the new video file.


9. Click the round button with the two blue arrows circling each other to start the conversion process. The button is located in the bottom-right corner of the user interface. When the conversion is complete, you will be able to upload the MOV file.

10. Download the Koyote Free FLV Converter program from cnet.com. Install it on your computer.


11. Open the program. Click the "+" button on the user interface to begin adding FLV files to the conversion list.


12. Click the "Configuration" button and specify the output format from the "Output Format" box.


13. Click the "Conversion From FLV" button on the top of the program's screen, then press "Enter" to begin the conversion process. When it is finished, you can upload the video to user-content sites like Vimeo.
