College gets more and more expensive with each semester (or so it seems). Thankfully, there are a plethora of grants and scholarships out there. You may want to consult a sample scholarship application before you attempt to earn one. After all, you want to know what information you will be asked to provide. Most scholarship applications will ask for your GPA, SAT scores, extracurricular activities and even an essay on a particular subject. Below are several ways for you to see a sample scholarship application.
Instructions
1. Begin by downloading and installing Adobe Reader free software from the internet by entering "Adobe Reader" into any web browser. Practically every sample scholarship found online will need to be opened by Adobe.
2. Log onto the College Tool Kit website.
3. Type the word “Sample” in the text box to the right of the “Search” drag-down box. You can leave the drag-down box in the default “Entire Website” option. Click the “Go” box to the right of the text box to begin the search.
4. Click on the PDF File “SAMPLE PRINTABLE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION Brought to you by Lunch...” This should be the first option which appears on the new web page. Clicking on this link will open the sample scholarship application for you to review.
5. Log onto the official website for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation, for an example to learn view applications for scholarships.
6. Select the “For Candidates” tab found near the top of the page or the “For Candidates” link at the left of the home page.
7. Click the “Become a Truman Scholar” link which will be found underneath the “For Candidates” link on the left of the web page.
8. Select the “Review the Application” link which is about midway down the new page. It should be the fourth available link found on the “Become a Truman Scholar” page.
9. Click on the “application” link which will be in the second paragraph. From there, you will be taken to a page with several different sample application links to choose from. Select the appropriate link depending on your computer to view a sample scholarship application.
