Fully Funded Phd Scholarships

Some Ivy League schools offer full Ph.D. scholarships.

In the midst of educational budget cuts and rising tuition fees across the country, for individuals looking to puruse Ph.D. programs, there are several scholarships that provide fellowships and living stipends. Prospective students committed to pursuing a doctoral program have several options that can make graduate school an affordable endeavor.

Brown University

Brown University's Department of American Civilization is an interdisciplinary program that prepares Ph.D. candidates for positions as college faculty, academic researchers and scholars, and executives in cultural institutions. Each student's doctoral program is designed to fit their own research topic and studies. Topics are as diverse as Asian American and Latino culture and politics to transnational popular culture. Every student admitted to the Ph.D. program in American Civilization is provided with five years of tuition, a living stipend, health fees and insurance, and three years of summer support. The first and fifth years of the program are usually fellowship years---other semesters require teaching and research assistantships.
