Math & Science Grants

The Federal Government each year makes millions of dollars in grant funding available to teachers, students, and independent organizations seeking to improve the lives of Americans. This is no less true of the mathematics and science fields where pages upon pages of programs exist to expand the national knowledge base and improve educational experiences for students and teachers.

Plasma Physics Research Grants

Those organizations receiving grant funding through this program overseen by the National Science Foundation will conduct research concerning the fundamental physics of plasmas. Theoretical as well clinical research is funded by this program which includes cross discipline involvement with the mathematical sciences, geophysical and engineering disciplines. The grant program is open for application by all organizations and independent research groups.

Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

This scholarship program offered in partnership with the National Science Foundation has been created to encourage students in University mathematics, science, and other engineering programs to become teachers (K-12) in those fields. A new aspect of the program allows students seeking a Master's degree in these related to fields to apply as well as providing financial supplements to those educators whose record of teaching has been shown to be exemplary.

Mathematcs for Students with Disabilities

The "Center on Accessible and Supported Electronic Text to Improve Mathematics Achievement for Students with Disabilities" has launched a grant program to facilitate better development in areas of technology by students will developmental and learning disabilities. Programs receiving funding will also create multimedia interactive programs that improve mathematics learning as well as create familiarity with newer technologies so that students with disabilities may become more fully integrated into their classroom experience.
