Many online courses use Blackboard to deliver course materials and assignments to students. Students use their Blackboard account to view assignment instructions and download related documents. Then submit completed documents using the same system. In order to succeed in a course using Blackboard you will need to know access this information.
Instructions
1. Log in to your institution's website and click on the Blackboard link. All your enrolled courses using Blackboard are listed on the first page. If you do not see a particular course, contact your instructor to find out how soon it will be added.
2. Select a particular course to go to the home page. Read new announcements on this welcome page.
3. Click on the "Assignments" button or link. A list of folders or assignments will appear. If folders are being used to group assignments, click on the link next to the folder to open it and view the assignments for that particular unit.
4. Read the detailed instructions under each assignment heading. Icons are next to each assignment heading to differentiate assignment types, such as reading, writing and test.
5. Look for a "View/Complete Assignment" link under the assignment instructions. Click on this link to download an attachment. When the dialog box appears, click "Open it" or "Save it."
6. Use the "View/Complete Assignment" link to attach a completed assignment. Type notes to your instructor in the "Comment" box. Click on the "Browse" button to locate the completed assignment on your computer. Click the "Add Another File" button to attach another file; otherwise click "Submit" to turn in your assignment.
