There are several ways a student can graduate early.
Some students want to graduate from high school early in order to get their college careers started, while others simply just want to get out of high school. No matter what your reasons, there are a few steps every student can take to get out of high school and start the next chapter in their lives.
Instructions
1. Enter into a home-schooling program. Request that your home-schooling program allow you to do accelerated work or work-at-your-own pace so you can increase the amount of yearly schoolwork you do and finish your course credit requirements faster. Ensure that the school you are home-schooling through will allow a student to complete their high school diploma earlier than students who are attending the school physically.
2. Participate in high school and college classes at the same time. Seek out dual-enrollment programs at local universities or community colleges that allow credits from college courses to be rolled over into high school credits. Meet with your college and high school counselors to find classes that qualify for dual enrollment and participating colleges or universities in your area.
3. Ask your school's counselor if they have an accelerated program that allows you to complete the basic requirements of your diploma in two years rather than four. Check to see any special grade point average or specialized testing requirements you must meet in order to be accepted into the program. Check surrounding schools if your current school does not offer one.
4. Enter into Advanced Placement courses at your high school that will count for both high school and college credit. Take any tests required to get into AP courses at your school for areas in English, mathematics and science.
