Take Online Ap Classes

Advanced Placement courses allow high school students to take college-level classes and earn college credit prior to graduation from high school. Taking online AP classes gives students flexibility to take courses at their convenience and the ability to pick and choose classes that may not be offered in school. These courses are similar to taking an AP class in school because students have a teacher and they must complete assignments, take notes and take exams. The only difference is the class is taken through an Internet connection.

Instructions

1. Talk with your high school counselor about online AP courses. Many high schools participate in school-based programs that offer AP classes online.

2. Research online learning programs in your state. Roughly 20 states offer "virtual academies," which offer statewide AP courses.

3. Call colleges in your area to see if they offer online AP classes. Stanford University is among the colleges that offer online AP courses.
