Have Your Student Loan Forgiven/Dismissed

There are a few reasons you can get your student loan forgiven/dismissed. #1 is no high school Diploma or GED. Takes 90 days or a little longer for an answer.

Instructions

1. In order to get a student loan, you must have had a high school diploma or a GED. If you did not have one before you went to a tech or any other college, then there is good news for you! You can have your student loan dismissed/forgiven if they find you were falsely certified. You will then get ALL the money they have taken from you back.

2. Fill out this form

http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DCS/forms/form.discharge.false.certification.atb.pdf and send it to who has your student loan. I would attach a return receipt to it to make sure they did receive it. It will take about 90 days for them to get back with you.

3. If the school closed while you were going to school, you can fill out this form http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DCS/forms/form.discharge.school.closure.pdf and send it to who has your student loan. I would attach a return receipt to it to make sure they did receive it. It will take about a month for them to get back with you.

4. Here is the link with other reasons they will dismiss your student loan for including disability. If you are disabled and can't work, you can get your loan dismissed.

5. Here are phone #'s for you to call:

If you do not know who owns your student loan, call the loan locator at 1-800-433-3243, they will be able to tell you who has your student loan.

Dept. Of Education # is 1-800-621-3115 Person in charge of discharging loans due to false certification is Mr. Bandabaila at 1-415-486-5629

6. I waited to hear from them and 120 days later, I got the letter telling me my loan was dropped and I had checks from the IRS to cash!

Good Luck to everyone who is trying to get their loans dismissed. I wish you all have the same luck as I have.
