Get A High School Grade Point Average Of 2 5

Calculating your grade point average is easy and can motivate you to do well in school.

Your high school grade point average is key to succeeding in high school and entering college. To graduate from high school with a 2.5 grade point average, you must receive mostly Bs and Cs. On a typical four-point scale, a 2.5 grade point average is considered average. Check with your high school as to what a plus or minus letter grade equates to in numbers. Typically, an A is worth four points, a B is worth three and a C is worth two. To maintain a 2.5 grade point average, a D or F must be avoided.

Instructions

1. Make a list of all of your grades for each semester. Most students will recall their letter grades rather than the grade point equivalent.

2. Translate each letter grade to its grade point. Ask your school to provide you with a equivalent chart, or assume that A equals 4, B equals 3 and C equals 2.

3. Add the total grade points and divide it by the number of classes you have taken to get the average. If your grade point average is lower than 2.5, you need to work at raising your remaining grades.

4. Ask your teachers for progress reports throughout the semester to make sure you are on track to maintain good grades and your grade point average.
