Arkansas Christian Colleges

Arkansas is home to a number of Christian colleges and universities.


Arkansas students who are seeking a Christian faith-based higher education have several choices. There are a number of Christian colleges and universities in Arkansas for students of all denominations. These institutions are designed to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience, while also providing them with a sense of community and fellowship through Christian teachings.


Ouachita Baptist University


Ouachita Baptist University is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. The university offers approximately 50 programs of study in eight schools, including education, Christian studies, music and business. Students also have the opportunity to participate in study-abroad programs around the world, such as in Morocco, South Africa, Hong Kong and Austria.

Harding University


Harding University is a private liberal arts college located in Searcy, Arkansas that is affiliated with the Churches of Christ. Harding offers its approximately 7000 enrolled students ten undergraduate degrees in over 90 majors, as well as 14 preprofessional programs and ten graduate-level programs in areas including pharmacy, education, nursing and religious studies.

John Brown University


John Brown University serves approximately 2000 enrolled students annually but does not claim an affiliation to any particular denomination. Undergraduates may pursue degrees in 47 majors while graduate students may pursue degrees in six areas of concentration, including business, ministry and counseling.

Central Baptist College


Owned and operated by the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas, Central Baptist College is one of the state's smallest Christian colleges, with a total enrollment of approximately 600 students. Despite its size, the college offers undergraduate degrees in eight academic departments, including bible studies, business, health and physical education, fine arts and behavioral sciences.

Ecclesia College


Ecclesia College offers eleven degree programs at the baccalaurate level, including an associates degree in biblical studies and bachelors degree programs in sports management, business administration, biblical studies and ministry. Ecclesia is unique among other Arkansas Christian colleges in that the curriculum is heavily integrated with Christian teachings.
