The Best Textile Engineering Colleges

Textile engineers innovate new fabric designs.

Textile engineers design fiber, and apparel products using natural or man made materials. Textile engineering programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Students enrolled in a textile engineering program will receive a foundation in engineering courses like machine design, textile product designing, and chemical processing. Degree programs in textile engineering are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Georgia Tech

The Polymer, Textile & Fiber Engineering department at Georgia Tech is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, and provides graduate and undergraduate training in textile engineering. Georgia Tech has been ranked one of the top ten public universities in the nation. Students will receive training in the "chemistry, physics and engineering of polymers and fibers." The department also provides competitive scholarships and job placement assistance for its graduates.
